This piece was inspired by my beloved sister Beatriz, who passed away in 2018. Every winter Beatriz would create a mandala at my parent’s vacation home out of sand donated by my mother, who collected sand from different beaches and deserts she visited all around the world. Upon its completion the mandala would only last a few hours or days as the sand dispersed with the breeze. This 22 karat yellow gold plated or .925 sterling silver domed cocktail ring features a gorgeous array of rainbow cubic zirconia gems depicting the Root or Muladhara chakra. The ring includes the seven colors of the chakras, an ancient framework for recognizing the energies in a woman’s body, allowing the wearer to progress through each chakra as prayers to a rosary. Additional stones decorate the back side of the bonbon shape. They are exquisite, but not visible to all. Just like you, this ring does not need to reveal itself to others, just like you don't need to reveal yourself to know your inner power.
