This piece was inspired by my beloved sister Beatriz who passed away in 2018. Every winter Beatriz would create a mandala at my parent’s vacation home out of sand donated by my mother, who collected sand from different beaches and deserts she or her friends visited all around the world. Upon its completion the mandala would only last a few hours or days, as the sand would slowly disperse with the breeze. This 22 karat yellow gold plated or .925 sterling silver reversible domed medallion pendant features a gorgeous array of rainbow cubic zirconia gems with the Root chakra depicted on one side and the Crown chakra on the other, allowing you to choose which side you present to the world. Each pendant includes the seven colors of chakra, an ancient framework for recognizing the energies in a woman’s body, allowing the wearer to progress through each chakra as prayers to a rosary. I'm really proud of this design, and I think my sister would have loved it too.

It is polished, plated if needed with 14K gold, and then must pass a rigorous inspection to meet my demanding quality expectations.
